ICoIAS'2022 was finally held successfully in virtual form during September 23-25, 2022. Although unpleasant situation prevents us from gathering at beautiful Dalian, the conference was still activated by the warmness of participants! ICoIAS' 2022 is organized by Dalian Maritime University; sponsored by IEEE Computational Intelligence Society and The Institution of Engineers, Singapore, co-organized by Tianjin University and Dalian University of Technology; and assisted by Yanshan University, Bohai University, Guangdong University of Technology and University of Manchester, UK.
尽管受到疫情影响，第五届智能自主系统国际会议通过线上虚拟会议的形式召开，与会作者的热情不减，会议圆满成功。由大连海事大学船舶电气工程学院和燕山大学共同主办，IEEE计算智能协会和新加坡工程师学会支持；渤海大学，广东工业大学和英国曼彻斯特大学等共同协办。

On September 24, Prof. Meng Joo Er made welcome address respectively. On keynote speeches session, Prof. Robert Kozma (IEEE Fellow), Prof. Alice E. Smith (IEEE Fellow), Prof. Chin-Teng Lin (IEEE Fellow), Prof. Derong Liu (IEEE Fellow), Prof. Marios M. Polycarpou (IEEE Fellow) and Prof. Hisao Ishibuchi (IEEE Fellow) delivered excellent speeches.
会议于9月24日上午开幕。会议伊始，大会主席，大连海事大学余明裕教授致开幕辞。余教授首先肯定了此次会议的召开对于解决当前智能自主系统面临的挑战是一次良好的契机，此次大会的召开对于业内人士来说，无疑是分享、交换智能自主系统所面临的一系列挑战的良好平台。此外，还向与会者们介绍了六位海内外知名学者，其中不乏IEEE FELLOW和业内有一定建树的专家学者。余教授特意提到，虽然在当前疫情背景下，组织举办会议尤为艰难，但还是得到各国家，国内各高校的大力支持，征稿工作取得不俗的成绩。审稿工作也保质保量地完成了。最后，余教授代表主办方大连海事大学，向参会的专家学者、大会委员会、参会者们的配合表示衷心的感谢，并鼓励参会的高校学子踊跃提问，预祝会议取得圆满成功。
在主讲嘉宾环节，大会邀请到6位来自国内外的IEEE会士和专家： 美国孟菲斯大学Robert Kozma教授，美国奥本大学Alice E. Smith教授，澳大利亚悉尼科技大学Chin-Teng Lin教授，南方科技大学刘德荣教授，塞浦路斯大学Marios M. Polycarpou教授和南方科技大学Hisao Ishibuchi教授，分别作了精彩报告。

另外大会还邀请了行业内优秀的学者专家做特邀报告以及产业代表做介绍，包括天津大学高忠科教授、大连理工大学刘涛教授、大连海事大学彭周华教授以及天津瀚海蓝帆科技有限公司武建国总经理。 跟与会者进行了热烈的提问交流。

Moreover the conference was composed of Best Student Papers Competitions and 9 technical oral sessions, topics covered, for example, Intelligent Control System and Monitoring, Mobile Robot Analysis and Design, Autonomous Systems and Adaptive Control, Image Analysis and Processing Methods and so on. Each parallel session went through smoothly and “Best Presentation” award was issued at the dinner banquet.
此次会议丰富多彩，除了主讲嘉宾、邀请专家报告和行业报告外，还组织了论文宣讲等活动，为参会的老师、学生、企业技术专家等提供了深入交流的机会。会议组委会通过评比，闭幕式上还进行了颁奖环节，优秀学生论文奖依次揭晓，获奖人均获得证书和奖金的嘉奖。
